Art therapy: a way to cope

By BROOKE FESTA

As we walk through this pandemic as a global collective, artistic mediums and creative outlets seem to be the one thing connecting us all together.

Whether it be through painting, graphic design, videography, or music, many people are finding ways to share their subconscious creations.

Bob Ross is an artist and teacher  who is great for beginner painters. Not only was he exceptional at his craft, but he makes you feel right at home when you pick up a brush for the first time.

I highly recommend sitting down with some paints and paper and hanging out with Bob Ross for an hour or two. You won’t regret it once you finish your first painting.

Check out the video I created above for a brief overview of what art therapy is, when it came about, and why it’s going to continue being so beneficial during the Covid-19 pandemic.
