The Sunshine Coast not only holds the title for some of the best restaurants in the state, but also boasts a huge array of musical talents to your evening entertaining.
To narrow down some of the best places to enjoy a decadent cocktail and some local and national talents, here is a list of 5 of the best bars to visit on the Sunshine Coast.
Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, SolBar is bursting at the seam with things to offer for its patrons. With sophisticated dining, it is already a hot spot on the Sunny Coast, but every evening Thursday through to Sunday the bar truly comes alive. Local artists showcase their vocal and instrumental talents every Thursday night at the open mic. This way you can plan which evening around the right artist for your ideal night out.
Cocktail suggestion: With an abundant choice of cocktails, the choice was hard. But their Cosmopolitan is refreshing and delicious.
Good Bar, Mooloolaba
Located in the heart of Mooloolaba, Good Bar is not one to be missed. Boasting mouth-watering comfort food fit for any hungry wanderer, there is no shortage of what this bar has to offer. The food here is a large contributor of what makes this place so appealing, but to top things off, while enjoying an American-style hotdog and a cold beverage, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night you can catch some great live music, too. Cocktail suggestion: You cannot go past their new addition to the menu, the Iced Vovo contains raspberry and white chocolate liqueur, fresh raspberries and lime juice.
Backlane Tapas & Wine Bar, Mooloolaba
Mooloolaba adding another gem to the list, Backlane Tapas & Wine seems to tick all the right boxes. If gourmet food and wine is more your thing while listening to some local talent, do not hesitate to meet your friends here on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night. You’ll catch the sweet sounds of some very talented individuals, such as Sunshine Coast musician Brad Schultz, who graces bars all over the Coast. Choose your drink or drinks for the evening from the extensive wine list or a “cocktail of the moment”.
Cocktail Suggestion: The Tijuana Tommy, chilli infused casamigos plata, peach schnapps, passionfruit, lime and chilli and lime sorbet. TO.DIE.FOR.
Café Le Monde, Noosa
Freshly shucked oysters, cocktails and live music, while sitting a stone’s throw away from one of the most picturesque beaches on the Coast. Café Le Monde has everything you could ask for. Locals flock to this Hasting street hotspot almost religiously to enjoy the atmosphere and the wide selection of food and drinks, while treating their ears to some of the best sounds the Sunny Coast has to offer.
Cocktail Suggestion: Frosé le Monde, Rosé, vodka, vanilla, cold pressed watermelon, lime and mint. Refreshing and absolutely delicious.
The Bison Bar, Nambour
If you find yourself in Nambour and are looking for something a little different, you have to stop by the super hipster Bison Bar. While soaking in some live tunes, talented mixologists behind the bar will craft you the cocktail of your dreams. The Bison Bar hosts a wide variety of talent, including local, national and international artists, in a setting so intimate you may as well be sharing a craft beer with the lead singer.
