How millennials make waffles in 10 easy steps

By Prisqua Camiul

Making waffles for brunch is more fun with millennials stuck in lockdown.

It is one of the easiest things for breakfast, dessert or afternoon tea. All you need is a waffle maker, and a millennial or two.

The list of ingredients will also help:

250g flour

20g sugar

1cc baking powder

1 pinch bicarb soda

1 pinch of salt

2 eggs

50ml oil of your choice

Vanilla flavour (optional)

150ml beer (non-alcoholic beer works or soda water, just don’t use milk of any sorts)

200ml water

Mix everything together. Best to let the batter rest for a minimum of 30 minutes, or it can be prepared the night before and kept in the fridge.

Cook the waffles long enough for them to be crispy, if that’s how you like them.

Once cooked, add your favourite topping.

The number of waffles will vary as waffle makers come in many different shapes and the depth of the grooves will also make a difference.
