Three protein-packed shakes for i-swole-ation

With gyms everywhere forced to close because of the COVID-19 pandemic, working out from home has become the norm for gym junkies across the country.

Regardless of how you are keeping fit in isolation, it is important to remember to fuel your body with the right foods.

Protein is an essential part of any diet and plays a key role in ensuring muscle is both grown and retained, so we’ve compiled three of our favourite muscle-making protein shakes for you to enjoy.

They are delicious, easy to make, and will help you develop muscle mass.

Please note: The videos below recommend adding 90 grams of whey protein powder, which contains roughly 38 grams of protein, as well as other carbs, fats and amino acids. Make sure you refer to the serving size recommended on your protein powder packaging before adding.

  1. The “Choco-nana” shake

This shake is the perfect post-workout treat. Full of protein and antioxidants, the “choco-nana” is both filling and tasty.

For a coffee-kick, try adding 60mls of chilled espresso.

The strawberries, raspberries and blueberries in this fruity delight are refreshing and great for your all-round health, according to Food Network dietitian Toby Amidor.
